A new boiler can enhance your central heating

As the cold winter approaches the nights get longer and the coldness creeps in, so we must all be prepared, and the best way to do this is via a gas central heating system. By centrally heating your home, you can make it more comfortable, inviting and relaxing.

In general, two types of central heating systems exist, one that’s pumped and the other with a vented system; but a heating boiler, central heating radiator and pipework make up the components of most heaters.

Pumped systems are probably the more common ones and their main part is a feed expansion tank which acts as the centre core by heating up itself first to subsequently warm up the heaters via the pipes. The tank has enough space to allow for any water expansion that might result from the heating.

In contrast, Sealed systems eliminate this primary water tank section. This system is essentially self-providing and therefore does not require any water tanks. This system offers a major benefit in that it reduces the risk of leakage and prevents other hazards such as airlocks; colder countries like Russia can reap great benefits from this systems since it avoids the risk of frozen pipes.

Do I really need a central heating system to heat my house?.

Gas central heating is great in a way that it warms up your office and home at a lightening fast speed and the quality of the surrounding air doesn’t even get affected. Gas fires, electric heaters and storage heaters were more commonly used in the past. But these produced uncomfortable humidity and a horrible smell.

Central heating ended such problems, however your gas central heating system should be checked and serviced regularly in order to ensure it is running at its optimum. Most people switch off their central heating systems during summertimes and switch them on only during winters, this should be totally avoided as the system could suddenly develop a problem as wintertime appears. Instead, you should start using the gas central heating system during the autumn season so that if any problem comes to the fore, you can call the heating engineer and get it rectified before the winter.

It should also be noted that some gas central heating systems allow air or dirt into them, so yearly draining is required. To flush the system, open the valve carefully and drain the collected water into a bucket, while ensuring that no further water gets into the heating system.
