Due to the average temperature that is seen across the UK and northern Europe , people barely find the need for air conditioning. Many of us find proper heating a necessity; as a result most of the new homes being constructed today are built with a Central Heating System.

So you want to be sure that your Gas Central Heating System is dependable. You Gas Central Heating System must give you the feeling of confidence that it is safe, simple to use with a long life.
Central Heating system can be divided into two broad classes, pumped/vented systems and sealed systems.
Pumped or vented Central Heating systems are most popularly used. The pumped/vented Gas Central Heating Systems have an expansion tank and a feed. The hot water tank performs two functions; firstly, supply hot water to your house, and secondly, provides heat to the radiators. The tank makes way for any water expansion that is caused by the heating process. The tank is placed in the highest place, normally the loft area. It not only heats the house, but also supplies hot water.
A pumped/vented Gas Central Heating System is what most homes probably have, especially those built many years earlier.
The sealed Central Heating system is one that more and more people are opting for these days. This system doesn’t have water tanks as it’s a closed heating system, this will save you space and reduce maintenance costs as there are fewer components. This unvented system eliminates water tanks and loft plumbing, thus giving a number of advantages.
- No risk of freezing pipes in the loft.
- There is no need to maintain the tanks and pipes as there are not present.
- The chance of a leaking water tank is all together absent.
- Unlike pumped/vented systems, air is not drawn through open vents so the possibility of airlocks, corrosion and sludge is much lower.
- The main water pressure can easily be used to flush out a Sealed system for easy maintenance.
A sealed Central Heating System is a packaged unit with all the necessary controls and safety devices. The sealed system gets its water through the main water supply at pressure. It feeds directly from the main water supply.
Normal variations of pressure can be allowed in a sealed system through a pressure vessel that contains compressed gas; this is separated from the sealed system water by a diaphragm. A safety valve will let water to escape or fill up depending on whether the pressure becomes too high or too low respectively.
Overall Central Heating Systems offer more value for money as equated to alternative heating systems as they can be very efficient. Moreover, they offer all kinds of control, which are normally not found in other heating systems giving you a more pleasant environment.
